About the Author

Ray Adams taught at East Allegheny High School in North Versailles, Pennsylvania from 1964 to 1995.  He has an M. Ed. and is an Educational Media Specialist.  During his teaching tenure, he taught Social Studies, Photography and Video Production.  In 1990, he formed a class in desktop video production that taught computer graphics and animation.  Ray also serves as a school Consultant for Video Facilities and Programs.

Since 1969, he has owned and operated a home based photography and video production studio.  The studio's services include general photography and video productions for social events, industrial clients and educational organizations.

He conducts video production workshops for teachers on a regular basis.  Inservice programs dealing with basic video production techniques for teachers are also conducted regularly throughtout the schools year.  He is actively involved with Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh and its efforts to promote video and television usage in the schools. He has had articles published in Videomaker and Media and Methods magazines.  In 1993, Ray was Pennsylvania's EEM/ITV Technology Teacher of the Year.
